Back at the beginning of the month Sam and Lucy ventured up to Northumberland to join me for their pre wedding shoot on the stunning beach at Bamburgh. This is one of my favourite places in the world, nothing beats the wildness of the north east coast … team that with good weather and a beautiful couple then you have a recipe for the perfect shoot.
I asked Lucy to send me a little brief about how they met and their proposal. I just love her, haha!
How you met … I first met Samuel on the 26th August 2012. We had spoken a few times through social media, but we had never actually met. On the night we were in a local bar in Huddersfield called Tokyo’s I was walking up the stairs dancing and accidentally hit Sam in the face. Haha. I think it was love at first site!! Sam then asked to take me on a date, which was my first ever proper date, he took me to a restaurant called The Farmers Boy in Holmfirth and it went from there really. Not very exciting at all haha!! And the proposal doesn’t get much better…
The proposal … We flew to the island Koh Samui in Thailand on the 26th January 2014, where we met up with my sister Faye and her boyfriend Mat. We had just arrived and went to the room to unpack our bags. Sam couldn’t hold his excitement in, while I nipped to the toilet none the wiser. I was walking back into the beach bungalow when Sam turned and said I’ve got something for you. I looked and he was just holding a ring box in his hand, and said will you spend the rest of your life with me? I replied yes. And that was it really!! We spent the night celebrating on the beach with a bbq and drinks. We are going back to the beach bungalows for the first week of our honeymoon in August.
Sorry it’s not more exciting!! 🙁 He didn’t even get down on one knee!! He’ll never live it down!!
Now here are their beautiful pre wedding images.
