Back at the beginning of October the very lovely Louise, brains behind the fabulous B.Loved wedding blog and ridiculously talented stylist at Styled by Louise came to visit Northumberland. We wanted to make the most of her stay and together masterminded two shoots, this being one of them … A stunning autumn inspired bridal editorial at the amazing Healey Barn.
The following words are taken from Louise’s blog post on B.Loved…
“Melissa suggested a fall wedding inspiration shoot at Healey Barn, a beautifully restored barn on the edge of the Pennines. We gathered together a team of the best local suppliers, and began creating the concept for a romantic and elegant autumnal shoot with a soft palette of peach, rust and touches of copper.
The fields and woodlands around Healey Barn provided the perfect backdrop, with the leaves turning from green to the most vibrant yellow, orange and burnt shades, complimented by organic woodland florals created by Alice at Forage & Blossom. I chose relaxed gowns with a bohemian feel from Luella’s Boudoir, accessorised with delicate vines and veils from Megan Therese Couture. Makeup Artist Dani and hair stylist Steph O’Neill created a warm and glowing bridal look with beautiful, tumbling up dos and braids.
In the barn, we set the scene with a fireplace full of candles creating a warm and cosy glow. The table was set with flowing silk runners from Kate Cullen, foliage-filled floral arrangements by Alice, and vintage-inspired crockery with modern gold cutlery. I added yet more candles to create an intimate feel, with gold-leaf pears adorning each place setting in a nod to the harvest festival feel of fall.
Claire Gould created a gorgeous backdrop with copper calligraphy which made the most beautiful table cloth for our dessert table laden with naked cakes by the Master Cakesmith, which were adorned with more gold-leaf grapes and foliage for a simply elegant look.” – See more at: http://www.blovedblog.com/weddings/fall-wedding-inspiration-healey-barn
