Happy New Year! It’s that time of year again when we look back and reflect on the past 12 months, make resolution (only to be broken) and wish everyone we know a very happy and healthy year ahead.

2015 saw me, my family and my business relocate back to the UK from Dubai. We moved to Northumberland, which I am now sad to say I had never visited before the move. It is home to a million castles (ok, I am exaggerating but it is over 70), it’s stunning countryside is scattered with roman forts, churchs and market towns. Not only that, it boasts a coastline like no other. I have barely scratched the surface here, but it is safe to say I am in love and look forward to exploring more in 2016.

The main challenge for 2015 has been building up my brand in a new place. I won’t lie, it has hard work. Getting yourself noticed amongst so many already talented established photographers takes time and it is still a work in progress. However, I am happy to say I am getting there and 2016 is looking extremely promising. I have booked what I know are going to be some incredible weddings and look forward to sharing some fun times with all these couples. It also gave me the opportunity to met and work with some of the wedding industries finest. It has been an inspiring journey to date and I am excited to see what the next 12 months brings.

I will leave you now with a selection of my favourite images from this year and wish you all a very happy and very healthy new year.

p.s Oh, my resolution is to get out running … to see Northumberland at a faster pace.
