This isn’t a statement, it is fact … ‘Make the most of it, they soon grow up’. So many people said this too me and at the time I wondered what they were talking about, the first three months of Jack’s life felt like a extremely sleep deprived eternity. I didn’t want to wish my time away but I regrettably did, all I wanted was for the 12 week milestone to arrive. According to good advice, that is when it was supposed to get easier. Eventually it did, then before I knew 6 months passed, then 9 and now he is a whole 12 months old. He eats more than I do and is on the verge of walking. My baby is 1 and I sit here remembering being in hospital with my tiny newborn like it was yesterday.
On 7th July 2014 we celebrated Jack’s 1st birthday. A quiet morning with present opening and playtime…
…followed by a crazy dinosaur themed afternoon. Did Mummy go overboard …. erm, a little maybe. The creative in me couldn’t resist.
I will leave this post by giving you some good advice … make the most of it (even the hard parts), they grow up so fast.
Love,
Mel xx
